There is no doubt that COVID-19 has majorly impacted all our lives, and particularly the most vulnerable in our society. In these strange and exceptional times, we are privileged to still be able to support and work with our clients. Yet, the acts of kindness that are taking place all around us, in our neighbourhoods and communities, are remarkable, and it’s important we continue to look after ourselves and support each other.
At Afiniti, one of our core values is ‘People at the Heart’, applicable to both our client work, but also how we operate internally. As we try and do our bit to support the front-line NHS staff and our corporate charity, Honeypot Children’s Charity, we are reminded just how important this core value truly is. We are pleased to announce that over the past month, Afiniti has raised a figure of £5,000. We’re incredibly proud to have such giving people working for us, and our firm is better off for it.

The NHS Charities National Covid-19 Urgent Appeal
The NHS Charities National Covid-19 Urgent Appeal was launched to acknowledge and support NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by Covid-19 across the country. The campaign was put together in liaison with national health service bodies, NHS Charities Together member charities and board.
The money raised is funding grants to help NHS charities support NHS staff, volunteers and patients in ways above and beyond what NHS funding can ordinarily provide, including wellbeing packs, rest and recuperation rooms, electronic tablets for isolated patients to communicate to loved ones. The funds will also resource vital care partnerships and longer term mental health recovery of staff and families.

The Honeypot Children’s Charity
The Honeypot Children’s Charity offers both respite breaks and outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children. They are proud to be the only charity in the UK offering consistent support throughout childhood; from the age of 5 until a child’s 13th birthday.
Many of the Honeypot children have little place else to turn and through Honeypot’s long-term programme of respite breaks and outreach support, they have the chance to make friends, build life skills and most importantly create happy childhood memories.

So, as we continue through unprecedented times, please stay safe and take care. #peopleattheheart
