What Makes Afiniti Officially a Best Place to Work?

At Afiniti, our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re especially proud to have been recognised as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work 2025, among only 500 other companies across the UK.

We didn’t just make the exclusive list; we excelled in our evaluation, scoring 92% or above across the six categories and earning a remarkable 93% overall employee engagement score. These results are more than just numbers – they represent the shared experience of trust, support, pride and purpose of our Afiniti people.

To mark this achievement, Senior Partner Corrina Jorgensen and People & Talent Lead Sarah Corsar shared their reflections:

Let’s explore all six areas of assessment and what we do that makes our people feel this is the best place to work…

Recognition at Afiniti goes far beyond performance reviews. We’ve created a culture where achievements, both large and small, are genuinely acknowledged.

Our Afiniti Values Heroes initiative encourages team members and clients to recognise colleagues who embody our values, creating a truly joyful weekly tradition.

Our merit-based promotion approach and continuous performance feedback through the PATH (People at the Heart!) career to development framework ensure people are rewarded fairly and consistently. Recognition is about celebrating excellence and helping everyone grow.

Knowledge is power, and we believe in sharing that power across the organisation. We prioritise transparency and shared understanding, keeping everyone informed, connected and encouraged to learn and contribute.

Our Engagement Working Group (EWG) ensures all voices are heard, bringing together volunteers from across functions and seniority levels to strengthen belonging and support wellbeing. Following our annual People Survey results, and through regular pulse surveys and weekly viewpoints, the EWG reflects on feedback and identifies key focus areas, turning insights into action through meaningful improvements.

However, it’s not all work and no play. The EWG also brings us together through virtual socials that spark connection and fun, all while raising and matching funds for our chosen charity, the incredible Honeypot Children’s Charity. It’s a great reminder that when we listen, act and come together with purpose, we can make a real difference – both inside and outside of our organisation.

Partner Perspectives, our multimedia podcast series, provides transparent insights from leadership into strategic direction, business performance and specific projects. We don’t just share the headlines; we explain how each consultant’s work contributes to our broader success.

The Afiniti Academy, our evolving learning hub, offers self-serve access to targeted content aligned to career paths and competencies, plus interactive webinars that drive continuous improvement.

Trust and autonomy: this is how we empower our people.

Flexible working practices and a family-first approach give control over how and where people work, while our PATH performance model supports self-directed development and colleague-led reviews.

We encourage challenging conventional approaches and proposing alternative solutions. Regular innovation sessions, like our recent ‘Afinnovation Hackathon’, create space for teams to explore new methodologies, develop specialised expertise and lead initiatives that shape service offerings – especially important as we enter the new world of AI-powered business change.

A key part of this empowerment is Digilab, our digital enablement platform. A collaborative, ever-evolving space where people connect, share ideas and drive innovation DigiLab is a launchpad for embracing emerging AI and bold thinking.

Our refreshed onboarding experience, the Afiniti Village, rapidly and creatively welcomes new starters from through a truly interactive platform, sharing everything about Afiniti: our clients, culture and how we work.

These practices ensure everyone can shape their role and career path in a culture where people are encouraged to be proactive, take ownership and make a real impact.

Regularly scheduled virtual Fika Breaks for colleague connections embody Afiniti’s overall approach to wellbeing: genuine, holistic and people-first.

Face-to-face co-working days provide essential in-person team bonding and collaboration, offering valuable opportunities for colleagues to connect beyond screens and strengthen relationships.

We offer mental health support through a trained Mental Health First Aider and the WeCare Employee Assistance Programme, giving everyone access to confidential, professional help when needed. Initiatives like Wellbeing Wednesday help our people to prioritise their wellbeing throughout the week.

Our highest scoring area (95%) reflects what we consider one of our greatest achievements: creating an environment where colleagues feel genuine pride in their work, teammates and contribution to meaningful business change.

This pride stems from the calibre of our client engagements and the tangible impact we create for organisations navigating complex change. Our consultants, in-house creatives and enabling team don’t just implement solutions; they become trusted advisors who help shape the future of the businesses they serve.

Regular showcases during our fortnightly All Hands townhall highlight team’s innovative approaches, creating opportunities for consultants to share knowledge and successes.

Just like our Sunday Times Best Place to Work accolade, our collective achievements are continuously celebrated through industry awards such as Institute of Internal Communications and Consultancy UK, who recently named Afiniti a top 50 firm for change management. For the second year, we’re proud to be recognised as a Hive Voice Certified Employer, reflecting our continued commitment to listening, acting and creating a workplace people are proud of.

This is where our value ‘Acting with Integrity’ shines! As a values-driven company, we encourage everyone to live and breathe our values in their day-to-day work. We use specific criteria to select clients and projects, ensuring our people believe in the work they’re doing and feel passionate about the change we drive, resulting in strong fulfilment.

Every team member is supported by an Afiniti Lead who provides leadership, coaching and regular development conversations. This is driven by the individual, giving them power and autonomy to steer their development.

We know that exceptional client outcomes begin with exceptional people experiences. That’s why we continue investing in creating an environment where everyone thrives.

Special thanks to the incredible team whose feedback made this award possible. And to those looking for a workplace where you can be heard, grow and make a difference – officially one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work – head to our careers page to find out more.
